New Features (May 2022)

This months extra features are explained in more detail below and are available in Connect version 3.4.5.3 onwards.

Portal users can submit a 'Feature Request' - If you have any ideas for new features that you would like to see added to Connect, please use our feature request form on the customer support portal.
Click the submit a ticket button and on the drop down, select feature request and enter the details of what you would like to see Connect do and click submit.
This will raise a ticket for you, which will be added to our dev process to be discussed and potentially added as a feature.  As part of this process we will be in touch with regular updates.



AD Users - CSV logging option to record new users details - Option added to save/append new user details to a relevant CSV file in the Connect/CSVLogs folder. This can be activated on Settings/Options tab "Create New User Detail Logs" - C:\Program Files (x86)\Locker Technology\Locker Connect\CSVLogs

Cloud Users - New Users - Passwords in Google - Two new controls have been added to the AD Options tab, a tickbox to turn the option on and a text box to enter the number of minutes to wait. If the option is on then once the AD staff (or students if that job was set to run first) has created the new users it will go into a paused state for the number of entered minutes. When it pauses it will also enable the other AD job to run if queued. Once the time has expired, it will then reset the AD passwords for the users it had created to the same value as used on creation.

Cloud Users - Photos - Always Update Profile Pictures - The Force Update tickbox is now called Always Update and will stay ticked. This will ‘Force Update’ profile pictures each night or on a schedule run

Cloud Users - Photos - Auto Upload MIS Photo to O365/Google - When selected, Connect will upload the staff photograph from your MIS to O365. If the photograph is updated in the MIS, Connect will automatically replace it

Create SDS Guardian Links - Tickbox added to Teams tab - create parent guardian links

Distribution Groups - Remove full stops in reg group names - full stops trimmed from end before creating email address for group 

Emails - Additional email recipient for Student account creation details Second email address box to receive notification of student account creation and disablement

Leavers - Remove from all O365 Groups - Tickbox option added to remove staff or student leavers from O365 Groups

Leavers - Move to a different AD OU - OU Box added for Leavers to move to specific OU when disabling

Leavers - Move to a different AD Group - OU Box added for Leavers to move to specific AD Group when disabling

Leavers - Disable account after X days from leaving date Leavers grace period option added, this will disable their account after X amount of days after leaving

MIS Year Mapping - Year mapping options added in Settings - Options

SDS Emulation modeSDS Emulation mode added to provide extended Education properties for 3rd party compatibility

TEAMS - Exclude multiple users from being removed - Inclusion and Exclusion boxes moved to new modal and new box added for 'Removal Exclusions'. This will allow an email address to be excluded from the removal process for all teams
